An Arrested Development movie is in the works, according to a story at Yahoo.com .  Jason Bateman told Kristin Dos Santos that Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard are seriously looking at making an Arrested Development movie. They have contacted the cast to see if everyone would be interested. Jason Bateman, whose already solid stock has risen recently because of his excellent performance in Juno, said:
“I can confirm that a round of sniffing has started. Any talk is targeting a poststrike situation, of course. I think, as always, that it’s a question of whether the people with the money are willing to give our leader, Mitch Hurwitz, what he deserves for his participation. And I can speak for the cast when I say our fingers are crossed.”
There is not yet a script, but there is a clear sense of direction for the movie. Since it will be under the wing of its original creators, we have good reason to hope an Arrested Development movie would be just as funny, (and awkward and uncomfortable) and enjoyable as the series. Good luck everyone. We hope it gets made.
